I would transition off after project is stable. Leave as the professional you are.
Does your SM know that you've been looking at other job or that you've been unhappy in your role? If you respect your SM and/or your clients, I wouldn't leave in the middle of major upheaval. That being said, a month-long fire drill sounds like poor project management so I understand your desire to move on. Just have a grown up conversation and try to leave on the best terms you can.
Do you wanna stay a bit and make sure you are leaving project hanging? I stayed for 2 months after I got my offer and left on very good terms
