I was told by my manager that I’ll be getting a promotion and a comp raise about a month and a half ago. It hasn’t happened yet and he keeps saying HR is slow to respond. Is there anything that can be done or do I just keep waiting around?

Is it true that comp changes at some top consulting firms depending on how well your bschool is ranked?

All my six-figure salary consultant friends are ranting about how poor they feel right now because their IRAs/portfolios are down. Think the people in this industry need to take time to volunteer or engage with some tougher parts of town and understand that by virtue of even having investment accounts, that they’re more financially safe than at least 50% of America. First day of 30mg vyvanse today. Had a rush of energy and hyperfocus (too much so) about 2-4 hours in, but had a complete crash 5hrs after taking the pill (just a wave of fatigue, felt very good after a quick 15min nap actually) and not sure if it had any effect after. Is this normal? Should I stick it out for a few days or is this a big sign that I’m not on the right meds/dose? Nervous to keep trialling this during the workday since a midday crash is not ideal. Appreciate any advice!
