Definitely But it’s the most significant part of mine haha so I’d definitely like some tips in preparing
Ask big picture questions. What’s your vision for this agency? Good to show you’re interested in the long term goals and that’s something someone high up could realistically answer. How did you get to where you are and what sort of thing s do you look for in someone at my level? Then reiterate how you check this boxes
Short / succinct and clear answers. Do not belabor a point or ramble (hard to manage as it's usually the result of being nervous). They are people too, honestly. Take your anxiety down a notch if you can. Make bullet point style notes of things you want to say to help you keep it short and sweet. Keep your resume right in front of you as well as a cheat sheet. Don't rush. They ask you something, you take a deep breath, exhale and then speak. It's not as long as it might appear in your head. They are not going to drill you, this is more of a personality fit thing and checking a box for them.
Call them Mom
Talk confidently. They don't know the weeds work so what you're saying they will assume is correct. Honestly, do not talk for long. Ask them questions and actively listen. They say "this works" you say "exactly, we've been seeing that work on our team like this." Do not be the one talking for long periods, be the one asking questions and actively listening
Study the agency. Read about their clients. Understand their key case studies There’s nothing more off-putting than interviewing someone who couldn’t be bothered to do their homework.
It's probably a very insignificant part of their day so I wouldn't stress it
Act like you’ve been there
Be hungry and listen.
Ask questions. Ask how you can help and what they need. Be enthusiastic. Listen
