I don't know how common this is but anyone ever left a job a few months after starting? What were your reasons for leaving when asked during interviews? And did this cause any disadvantages to you in the long run?

It’s restructuring season. KPMG, GT, and other firms have begun announcing layoffs. Everyone should take some time to polish off their resume. Accenture HR: When a prospective employer runs a background check, does HR tell them reason for leaving (quit, fired, etc.) or just dates of employment? Was fired in September and wondering if I am required to tell them (upon asking why there’s a gap) if I was fired or just that I decided to leave.

Sick of biglaw but I want to stay one more annual bonus season. I’m seriously burned out and would like to shift gears but I’d like to leave after ending my 5th year. I am potentially looking to just try and hide/keep my head low to avoid work as much as possible/“slack off” and wonder how possible is to do that for a year without getting fired? I aim to maximize vacay time, and just in general try to avoid any work I don’t absolutely have to do.
Man, getting sick during these times is so stressful. I have a lung infection and am on antibiotics, but am super paranoid I might have covid too. I’m on my third negative result so far

Zoom drinking games
I gained over 25 pounds over lockdown, went for drinks with colleagues for the first time since March 2020, and the very next day I had other colleagues messaging me on teams and dropping remarks about how they are walking a lot these days to drop COVID weight. It might be a coincidence but probably not. Feels like my weight was discussed a lot behind my back as no one else in the group of people that went out had gained weight.

I’m completely burnt out from work and I’m considering taking a break until the end of the year or so. The challenge I’m having is this deep rooted anxiety of having a “gap” on my resume. Interviewed for Uber Strategy Manager- what a massive joke. Wouldn't tell me the comp on the first interview. Case studies are 3x the size of any other case study I've done for actual fortune 100 companies. And then interview with everyone and their mother, all who wax eloquent about my solutions. But then the last person gives me another case study to do. Towards the end, everyone and HR is giving me a verbal offer, telling me they're excited about me joining their team, I should join asap.

Attorneys with the firm often send firm-wide emails advising of in house openings with a corporate client, and solicit recommendations or resumes of qualified candidates. Usually the client contact is a hiring manager for the position. How do I show interest without completely shooting myself in the foot? While I ultimately do want to exit the firm, I also don’t want to be openly broadcasting my intent to leave by telling the firm attorney(s) that I’m interested. Thoughts?

Got an informal offer to join a client (manufacturing company). 240k base, 60k cash bonus target (can shrink or double depending on company metrics) + 50k annual equity (3 yr rolling vesting). Director level which has just one additional layer between me and the Exec Committee. My contact already internal negotiated extra vacation and is working on my behalf for a signing bonus. Is it worth trying to negotiate base? Or is this already a strong offer?
Hey guyz, Last week on Wednesday i got call from Mumbai Capgemini HR for salary discussion and DOJ then after she said she will release my offer letter with in 3-4 days. But on 18th sept i.e Saturday evening I got a message from them asking for alternate email id and Phone number for creation of profile on CG portal. Now in how many days i should expect my offer letter? Anybody can help me out?
