Why does getting let go feel like dying? I was so angry earlier at having gotten the news about being let go after 2 years and now it feels like I’m being crushed from the inside out.

I have a direct report who is smart, passionate about her job and can be really innovative. However she carries this enormous weight of responsibility, for needing to do everything, do it right, make sure it's perfect, not trusting colleagues to help. It creates dread and panic and overwhelming workload and a terrible attitude for her and I am speaking with her this week to start to shift her mindset. Any tips in navigating how to let go of this heavy idea of "responsibility"?

I am a career changer on mo 4 of a 6 mo sourcer/researcher contract that I’m not sure will be renewed due to team re-organizing. I have 5 YOE basically in an HR generalist role at a company that didn’t have an official HR function, building systems from the ground up. I also have my SHRM-CP. Going to India from DCA (flights were cheaper) but I live in Houston. Flight from DCA is at 10 pm. Should I book my flight from Houston to DC the same day or one day earlier? Given the flight cancela.

How do you split income/expenses with your spouse? Wife earns about 75% as much as me. Don’t have kids yet. Do you have a joint account for everything or do you split common expenses 50-50 or in proportion to income? Something else? This has caused some contention so want to benchmark. Thanks!
