I have a friend who told me he sought treatment for alcohol abuse 6 mo ago. We talk a lot and I try not to judge or ask too many questions about his progress, just wanting to be a supportive friend who doesn’t pressure him. Why do partners feel the need to speak when they obviously have very superficial knowledge about the topic?
