I’m a newly graduate from a community college. My program of study was Health Information Technician. I passed my RHIT exam a month ago, and I’ve been applying to jobs in state, out of state, and remotely to only receive “sorry you were not selected email.”I don’t have experience and I know that’s the reason I’m not getting selected. I’ve applied for receptionist, medical biller/coordinator, and medical clerk. Even with inflation willing to work for minimum wage or less just to gain experience.

Pretty sure I’m about to be fired. I have an offer in hand anyway and have been on a few interviews that have gone well, and a few more lined up. Am I gonna be ok?

Just wanted to ask if I'll be provided training in my initial months as a front end engineer or am I expected to work from the very first day.

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!

Rejected by google. Very depressed as was hoping to escape big4 consulting esp with all these h1b crap going on. Unsure of next move- hate going again on the interview treadmill which is depressing

I wanted to share that I am in my first job as ui/ux expert and I am the only ux/ui person in the team. I am expected to take care of entire research and design of the product. It becomes very overwhelming as the product that I am working on is in a early phase and I am expected to think about ui as well as ux and also design entire app on my own.There is no user interview or user testing happening as my project manager thinks it can be done after product is launched. Please help!

When discussing a first technical interview with a recruiter how much time do you ask them to give you for preparing for the interview?

My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are: get up and move even if you don’t finish or end up going on a walk. Pls take care of yourself❤️

A friend of mine from a top tier consulting firm was counseled out. Do you consider it ethical that his career counselor is intentially spreading the information to his colleagues and to other consultants from other companies in the project? What can he do about it? P&C focused people: What do you do to find success cross-selling life policies? I mostly sell P&C off internet leads. Most are not the ideal client for my company but I take care of them like I would anyone else. I do okay but not great with life after having the client for six months once I move them into a preferred policy. That move saves them enough to make life doable coupled with established trust.
