Hi,
If you are going straight sales with no renewals or natural market, NO, you won’t make the same amount.
That said, if you have established clients or willing to set up a prospecting system that automatically will generate 7-10 openings a week, yes, you can make more.
It take 4-5 years to establish your own practice and to jump from a salary, you should have 12 months of working capital in reserve.
It’s scary and fun all in one. I did it in 2006 with a benefits practice and would say that this career now gives me more flexibility that working for someone else. At the same time, I have all the headaches as well as staff.

Depends if you work for a brokerage or captive agency, starting comp, lead quality, and management and training quality.
Can you do it with a captive agency?
It really depends on how your contracts are structured! What is the percentage that your going to be paid?
