Why is marriage the only resolution to loneliness?
I don’t care for marriage, if I get companionship along the way, great if not, no big deal.
I have goals/hopes/dreams, none of which are dependent on it, and that’s how life goes. If I was married, I would have different ones, but I’ve got what I got.
Stop waiting for someone to show up and start giving your life meaning, try give it your own meaning.

So true, the moment you accept this you will stop feeling like you are missing out. Find happiness within yourself not from someone :) it is not the end of the world OP, i actually like my me time…this is coming from someone who grew up in a conservative family. My extended family had a harder time than my folks, IMO, esp coz I am a woman
I am a loner so I actually love it. Plus I get enough action.
Why have you given up? Plenty of people get married after 40

No luck yet, but not giving up.

A hangout partner and lot of action (from many 😉) is all I need

Is it so difficult to find someone? Just curious

I think you are correct, it takes courage to admit a fault and correct it or change oneshelves!

Early 30s and decided to never get married. I don’t feel lonely at all. I have a dog who keeps me busy after work and over the weekend typically hangout with friends. Additionally I’m much into long drives, biking, skiing and lot of other outdoorsy stuffs. So over all pretty busy life.
