Has anyone with a biomedical engineering + consulting background exited to Apple, Google, Verily, or similar places? Tech role or business role?
Switching from tax to risk advisory as a senior, plan to stay a few years until manager, curious about risk advisory exit opportunities...
I interviewed for a dream job a few months ago, but didn't make it past the screener. The position is still open, and I can't express how much I want this job! I'm a nervous interview, so I know I could have done better at it. Should I reach out or reapply? Would it look bad if I do? I feel like I should leave it be and keep looking, but I'm crazy about this company. Brutal honesty is welcome! 🤦♀️
I thought Kanye was cancelled after his ignorant comments on slavery being a choice 🌚 meanwhile, I see him & the rest of the clan are opening up for Steve Harvey’s family feud 👀 what’s really going on
Bye bye PA. Finally (15 years later) pursuing my dream of opening a bakery. The hours will be longer but they will be embraced with love and passion instead of dread and apathy.
I have a preliminary credential in social sciences with supplementals in bio and math, it expires in July and I have already had the allowed 1 extension. Teaching is my second career (I am a retired pediatric nurse) and barring an open position at a school where I am a preferred sub there doesn’t appear to be much hope. I am currently enrolled in a masters in history program and looking to jump to museum work or perhaps teaching at a local college. Any advice would be appreciated!
Happy Friday again Fish! Please DM me if you’re looking to make a switch to BCG and want a referral, there is a huge push for EHs right now and on Wednesday we raised associate / consultant compensation. I’ve had several referrals receive offers over the past 6 months. I’m more than happy to help: - Connect you to friends who’ve come in as experienced hires from various consulting firms (big 4, S&, ATK, etc.) - Hop on a call to discuss resume /behavioral prep / the firm

So I'm at an agency and 80%+ of my time is new business. Pitch, win, set-up/semi-service until we get hires, move on to next pitch etc. (w/ fair share of losses too, of course). But I'm burned out. And while I'm valued, I don't see a return on my investments: personal time, my heart (I'm all in) and professional development. I get rewarded with small spot bonuses sometimes, but not a commission. So do I try to pivot to a real bus dev position? I feel confident I could. Anyone seen this done?
Best questions to ask in interview to get a feel of the company culture? Without getting a total bs answer 😅
Be honest. Do you guys ACTUALLY enjoy what you are doing or are you just lying to yourself? And if you guys actually love your work, please explain why? I’m curious to know. Thanks!!!
