Desperately want to get into healthcare strategy consulting. 13 years of healthcare clinical experience including project work. MBA. But keep getting told by recruiters that I don't have enough experience to be a Consultant or Manager but that I have too much experience to enter in every level such as a Senior Associate. Just one rejection after another, even when applying with internal referrals from Director or Partner levels. What am I doing wrong?

Service bAsed companies are not releasing offers nowadays. I have left looking for offers from any of service based companies. Except TCS, All are frauds and TCS won’t pay much anyway so done. They will lure you to give interviews and later when all rounds are done and docs are submitted, they will come and say we can’t pay you. I have faced the same with capegemini, tech Mahindra, infosys, cognizant. Is this the case with anyone ? Or am I the only one with bad luck

Instead they told me I needed more training and hired me as a Junior account executive at a $50k salary + commission. Today is my 6th month mark and I have done very well. I work in insurance. I was working for an Allstate agent and was fired the day after my grandmothers funeral for being “unenthusiastic in our morning meeting”. Now I’m having anxiety searching for a job. I don’t think I want to sell anymore yet every single recruiter I interview with says I should, that I have a “salesperson mentality”. I’m burnt out.
