Anyone else feel like finance job descriptions are just copy-pasted nonsense? “Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment,” etc. Half the time I don’t even know what they’re actually asking for. I’ve been tailoring my resume slightly, but part of me just focuses on the real keywords and skips the fluff. Do you actually tweak your resume to match that language, or just focus on substance?

Has anyone bought/ done the HRCI Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management? I already have my PHR, but I’m looking to gain more knowledge/skills and beef up my resume. Is it worth doing? The course is $239 and you get 12 Recert credits with it.

I applied to a job at KPMG and did the first two rounds of interviews, general interview, then case study and competency. Never before have I had such a positive feedback at the end of an interview of the 2nd, both said really like me, I did well etc.
It's now been 3 weeks since the interview and I still haven't heard back from the team other than the odd HR email saying they are following up with them. Is there something going on internally, I.e hiring freeze in the London office atm?
