I used to take pride in staying calm under pressure, but over time I realized it was enabling a broken system. I’ve started asking more questions about how the pressure is created in the first place. Staying composed is valuable—but it shouldn’t come at the cost of fixing the chaos.

Absolutely! "Grace under pressure" can end up feeling like a badge of burnout. It’s frustrating when it’s less about recognizing your skills and more about knowing you’ll handle the mess without pushing back too.
Yeah I was always made to believe I was dependable, reliable and valuable member of our team. My boss could count on me for anything that needed to be done. But learned it means nothing when it came to layoff time.
