Anyone else lucky enough to work with colleagues who turn even the busiest days into a laugh?
I genuinely think the people you work with can make or break your day. When you’ve got a team that supports each other, shares a joke, and has a proper laugh along the way, it makes the workload feel lighter and the days go by so much quicker.

Does anyone else feel like having great colleagues completely changes the workday?

It's very true that your coworkers can have a lot to do with how you regard your job. I've worked with people who made the days easier, and, sad to say, I've worked with some people who made each day seem longer. What you're doing in your job may be the main point, but who you're doing it with can make a big difference in how much you enjoy it.

I’m sorry you’ve experienced the less nicer colleagues! But yes some good ones really can make it worth while!

I've got one at my job and she makes work so much more enjoyable. We can just catch each other's eye and know immediately what the other is thinking. This usually happens when our boss is on one of her daily tirades. The only downside is doing that makes it very hard for me to keep a straight face 😂

Aw I’m happy you have that! I have a colleague the same and it’s great we have some good times!

Small gestures really do shape workplace culture. A quick greeting, offering help, or acknowledging someone’s effort can shift the tone of an entire day.

It can have such a positive impact and I’m all for that!

My annual perf discussion is monday morning. I work on a tough team for a tough place. I think Im a pretty good/almost high performer but only around 3 years and my boss seems to still act like I’m brand new (lifer boomer). I try to tell myself he has 6 direct reports and has to do this with everyone, Im no more or no less special - but I hate these convos and negative feedback even when most of it is unsurprising/fair feedback. Any tips? Just need to get through it! HR people are not immune!
