who prefers working at ofc more than wfh?
How do you deal with your menstrual cramps at work? I literally have to take my first day off every time to work from home and I always feel so bad. What do you tell your male colleagues? (1/2)
Got the blood test, I have the antibodies. My company is WFH through next year. I hate WFH. I am considering renting a WeWork spot, simply to go through the actions of going to work and coming home from work. Is this a crazy idea?
Hi All, with WFH I have time to work on myself & deal with my childhood trauma/emotional abuse etc. My symptoms are too mild to be covered by insurance or EAP. Any recs on good affordable therapists?
ECD/studio heads - The Atlantic is looking for their next creative studio head! Remote for now, but eventually back in office (NYC/Flatiron). https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/2164728355
Can we start listing companies that allow full time WFH? My company is trying to force hybrid and I’d like to get a feel of what companies offer full time remote for auditors.
I'm currently a student taking online classes to become a Data Analyst. I go to school online. I live in the US but my fiance lives in Canada. I travel back and forth all the time. Is there any suggestions on what I can do for remote work while I'm still in school?
So I haven’t been working during COVID, but now I’m on assignment WFH and things are weird. I was told ahead of time how much I was scoped for, and I’m just not working that much at all. If I were in the office I’d be billing for all those hours I were present (and asked to be present), but I don’t think I can bill for time I’m just sitting at home watching Netflix. Or can I? Any other freelancers have this issue? For the record I’m scoped for full time.
Anyone else considering moving out of the city they work in and committing to full time remote work? Targeting less expensive rent/life overhead?
Just woke up. Loving wfh.
Last week I play video games during work hours and start drinking at 3 pm, and the next thing I know I'm working through this weekend and have to wonder if I'll have time to go to the grocery store in the upcoming week. Isn't WFH and COVID-uncertainty great?
is it bad i enjoy working from home? the pandemic hasn’t helped me in a lot of ways (mentally) but because of WFH, i can now live where i want and not be confined to an apartment in a city with 2-3 roommates. i’m worried about when offices will want people back full time because i honestly don’t see the point in being in an office space 5 days a week. i can do 1-2 days but i’m more of an introvert and i like doing my work in a space where people aren’t constantly at my desk.
Our boss told us that all client travel is essential travel and we shouldn’t be canceling any trips because more people die from the flu each year than covid. I don’t think we’ll be wfh anytime soon
What’s a good WFH monitor that’s decent sized? And a good price/site to buy? This will be a gift so please keep it in a reasonable price range. TIA.

It’s crazy that millions of Americans are struggling to survive on minimum wage, while consultants are pulling $200k+ to make powerpoints
Can someone explain this sense of entitlement by the younger generation? When I hear the younger gen complaining that they aren't getting paid enough when they start at 70k which is more than some experienced hires.....I just don't understand.
Parents in Consulting. How do you manage consulting hours (50+ hours) with children? What does your schedule look like?
I’m triple vaxxed (with booster) and wear masks everywhere (except for when I go for a run outside). I’m very cautious, because my wife has asthma and is pregnant. Just found out today I tested positive AND had passed Covid to my wife (who is staying at home all the time). we are waiting but I might have also spread it to my 90 yr old parents whom I’m visiting for Christmas. Like WTF? I feel like I had been lied to by these big pharmas..I’m praying my wife’s condition doesn’t get worse
Why don't more (white collar) Americans take breaks in-between jobs? Like a month or two summer break. Is this mindset that you need to work all the time a vestige from back when people would work at the same company for 40 years until they die?
How to compensate for long term unemployment? After getting let go from McK earlier this year, I've been unemployed for close to 6 months and explaining it to prospective employers is awkward and uncomfortable. Any advice on how to navigate this?
What is a piece of life and/or career advice you would have told your 25-year old self?
Craziest thing you’ve done in an interview when you knew you had no chance of getting the job?
Ok this is going to be quite controversial because it touches on the subject of mental health in one’s professional life, but on the other hand drawing the line in the interest of fairness to other participants in a game. One camp says “She knew the rules, she broke the rules, end of discussion.” The other says “But certain situations like Richardson’s need to evoke a sense of compassion and nuance that at best cause a reevaluation of the rule itself,” what camp do you belong?
Can we please share our failures and insecurities? I think people need to know we aren’t all perfect as we seem.
Male client just told me to tell one of women on my team that her communication style is “too aggressive” so if anyone knows of a good bridge to throw him off of, I’m open to suggestions.
Let’s start a conversation around parental leave - how is it at your firm? Does your firm do enough to support new parents? What changes can we make in our industry to better support working parents? Share your stories and thoughts!
Have you ever experienced a SM/M give negative feedback at because of something beyond your control, like you didn’t have bandwidth to support them 100% but supported hours as much as you could yet they held it against you. Or some anecdotal (non-performance) based review which your coach told you about? I don’t mean to sound paranoid but I do feel egos exist in our organization and during performance reviews exert “power”. Please offer views/stories if in support or contrary to this opinion.
