Anyone else tired of the assumption that because you’re a partner you have to think a certain way and believe certain things. I’m talking about wokeness, work from home, and the recent ever constant pushing of the needle to the left or risk getting “cancelled”. I’m fairly liberal politically so for me to be saying this I think may say something for the current climate. I should be able to hold and express my own opinions without being quashed because I’m not “woke” enough.

HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? I have 15 years within the organization, left for 10 months to be remote during the pandemic while sorting out childcare as immunocompromised family helped. Now HR is restarting my ET as a new employee. I realize I left, but not on bad terms and I am an exemplar and respected employee. Would you take an offer at EY or Apple? Apple recruiter mentioned that there will be early morning meetings (6 or 7am), EY recruiter said WLB in EY is best for big 4.

I started my career as an org social coordinator. 2 years later I’m now a generalist (Work in progress) - but I manage Google ads, org social, blog, seo, PR & affiliate programs.

I learned all of the above within 6 months and now own all those channels as an associate… not a manager (and won’t be one until we hire someone for me to manage as per my boss).

I run 4x4 intervals on a treadmill every 2-3 days, and pushups/hangups/crunches about the same, but somewhat more infrequently. Great exercises to do with little time. In winter I go XC skiing upstate at our cabin every two weekends or so.

Boomer. I am in between jobs. Laid off in 10/21 after 16+ yrs, with an ABA firm. RIF. Still on excellent terms. Took my time living off generous package and didn’t seriously start applying until 01/22. Made a rookie mistake and accepted first offer.
Turns out job wasn’t as advertised. Mutual parting of ways 3/22. Due diligence is critical.

Left a great job for higher pay. Absolutely hate the new. Has anyone gone back to their old employer? I was a very good employee, respected, and dependable. It’s only been two weeks but the new is horrendous 😩
