I recently started GC with EY law. I haven’t seen any case process since late august and there are a few items past due. The lawyers are not responding to my emails, does anyone know how to get a better sense of case progress and possibly to get the lawyers to speed up the process? Thanks! EY

Over the years I have felt this way many times. I take a serious evaluation of my skills and interests to consider another career. I have never been able to think of anything else I want to do more. I try to rest and relax and just remember there are bad days at every job. Times when I will be overwhelmed anywhere. I just that I will know heart and soul when or if it really is time to move on. Blessings and peace to you, my friend, as you navigate your way.
Yes! I am too close to retirement to quit. Otherwise, I would walk right out that door! If I didn't need to carry my insurance, I'd leave anyway!
Yes. I can retire at any time, but I don’t know if I’m ready to walk away from my classroom just yet. I do think about all the other things I could do (writing, volunteering, etc.,) and they tug at me, but so far the pull of the students is stronger. It’s a strange position to be in just now. I’m done with some of the behaviors, the grading, the paperwork, the parents… but I’m also struck by new ideas and lesson plans and ways to get kids excited, etc.
Go or stay. It’s something I think about every day.
I feel the same way. I've been in the field for 25 years and I'm really struggling to stay motivated. Not sure what to do about it as I am not eligible to retire right now. Hoping this feeling passes.
I feel the same way! I’m two years from retirement, but the pull is strong this year!!
I felt like all of you and sat down, did the math snd retired early (59) - yes, I would have more pension had I stayed but I had to weigh that (small) monetary increase if stayed against mental and physical well- being. I’m just saying, it may not be as detrimental as you think - try to talk to retirement professionals and you may be surprised!!!! Sending best wishes to those of you in the trenches- you are all heroes in my book !
