Anyone from Delta Air Lines here? I’ve applied to a few marketing roles and never here anything back. Yes, I’ve tailored my resume to each posting and worked with a career coach. I know they’re a big company and would love to get a referral or even get a conversation with someone who works there. I’ve already tried connecting and networking on LinkedIn.
Are you applying for roles that are perhaps higher in experience than needed or closer to the minimums. A lot of applications get 50+ applicants easily. Though, sometimes it is an extremely slow process, it took about 4 months to fill a recent position. Depending on the manager some let the recruiting company filter applications, sometimes others will look at all of them.
Typically I apply for roles in my experience bracket and sometimes will apply for something if I’m a little off but that’s rarely. I don’t want to waste my or there time if I know I don’t have the experience or skill sets so I try not to do that. Thanks for the insight on how Delta works with respect to filling positions.
Some hiring managers are very picky. You may not have the background they are looking for. From my experience, there is the job description, and then the top things/actual traits and skill sets a hiring manager looks for. You may be hitting the skill sets but maybe it’s your years of experience, for instance.
