Enjoyed the subtle hints like when Abby laughs at Martin’s comment when he says “Black and Jewish...Bl-ewish”. Soundtrack is awesome - gotta agree with you in that one, OP.
Just watched it. Loved it. Cried. Didn't care. So relatable.
Also, Simon thinking every guy who is remotely nice to him is gay is a MOOD
Cry if you want to. To borrow a quote from the movie:
I’ve also downloaded the full soundtrack. The music really gives me a nostalgic feeling of being back in high school / college. Nick Robinson also does an amazing job, definitely a fan of him now.
Blue, is that you?
Jacques
But seriously... why can’t I find my blue, feels like I’ve been looking for years. 26 and I’m not getting any younger 😭
@PwC3 same, I’m 25 and feel the same way about not finding anyone. And being the only gay guy in a small office doesn’t help.
Warmly, Blue
@EYOP I agree. Just turned 27. Being gay in a small office/city is hard. 😕
Yes, you should, and once you’re tired of how cute it is you can watch GBF. Same concept, but done in a more entertaining and campy style
My gay best friend went to watch it and love it so much. I don’t dare to go cuz I am afraid I will cry in public...
Yes Blue Ivy is in the house bow down bitches
@OP, I complete agree! Simon is very relatable. As the principal said, I see myself in you 🤣
@OP. I avoided your earlier question, but now I'm full of happy hour alcohol. You are not far from where I am. I know a lot of Okies from training. We could totally "Love, Simon" this and meet at the theater anonymously to see it again together and come out to each other. Decent odds we already know each other... 😬
Love, if you're Blue, I guess that makes me Jacques
@PwC 3. Come fly out and we can all meet and sort this out civilly. 😊
@OP Isn't alcohol the best?
I emailed you from my new email, frommywindow1ey@gmail.com. Wanted to let you know here in case any of these hooligans also decided to send you an email. 😉
@EY2 / PwC3 I don’t suppose either of you are in Oklahoma haha.
Fondly, Blue
@OP, are you out to any of your colleagues? I’m in a big city yet everyone thinks I’m hetero. When asked about my love life, I switch it around and act like I’m interested in knowing more about theirs. I don’t feel like sharing that part of me but I also don’t want to be part of awkward conversations.
@PwC3, I’m out to a staff who I’ve known for a while (I dated a friend of hers in college). I think a few others might have an idea, but I just don’t really bring up that part about me. I’m single and kind of do the same thing as you in regards to deflecting attention away from myself. Honestly though I’m not sure why I continue to care what others may think at this point. When I told some friends back in college I continually got the reaction of surprise since it’s not really obvious about me. Maybe that’s why I like Simon so much, since I see some similar parallels to him
@OP I'm in basically the same situation. I'm out to my immediately family and a couple close friends, but nobody at work. I'm comfortable enough with myself at this point that I don't really care if my coworkers know, but it's just not something I care to talk about, whether I'm out or not. So I just avoid those conversations and don't plan to tell anyone. And I agree. Simon is such a relatable character. This movie was so good. I need to see it again.
