Favorite office chair?
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.
AMA.

Yup. Love my Autonomous. https://www.autonomous.ai/
Amazing desk, +1
My husband got the Tresanti one from Costco and loves it. It was $299 + tax.
willing to sell for $999.
Flexispot
Seconding Flexispot. I looked into Fully and Autonomous, but Flexispot had a better price with similar quality based on my research. I’ve had a desk from Flexispot for 2 months now, and I’m very satisfied. Customer service is very nice, too (changed my mind about the size of the desk initially ordered, and they helped me cancel & place a new order)
IKEA :)
I do. Do you live in Chicago?
Well it's upto you how much money you wish to spend - electronic ones are great but ask yourself how many times you'd change from standing to sitting. If its not 10 times a day then maybe a simple desk would do the work which costs less than $100.
I don’t work hard and make money to have that thing.
Deskview if you live in an apt
Second this. I love mine

Chief
I got a tabletop sit/stand one off of Amazon that I just put on top of the desk I already had. $150. Works great.
I got a crank vivo. It was only like 250. Super sturdy and less susceptible to breaking bc of the lack of electronics
Some books and cardboard from Amazon
The tresanti looks amazing but looks like its no longer available :(
