Yep, me! Freelancing definitely gives you flexibility, and picking up a part-time job can help fill the gaps. It’s tough but also empowering to control your schedule and projects. For me, it’s been a balance of staying organized and finding time for self-care. How’s it working out for you?
Yes, same here. I’m juggling a contract gig, some freelance writing, and retail hours on the weekend. It’s not easy, but I do like the flexibility and the sense that I’m not tied to just one paycheck. Still figuring out how to make it sustainable long term.
I'm old-fashioned about quaint things like observing conflict of interest rules. The last thing I need is any trouble of that nature. I live well within my means, so it's not really an issue. Years ago I would pick up extra money helping a friend with their business, and having a job and a half wasn't for me. Even if I could do it without having ethical conflicts I'd steer clear of it.
You learn a lot along the way and you're getting paid! I'd totally recommend it and see all of these things as life experiences. I've done up to 3 jobs at the same time (I was not a student).
