Anyone in Infrastructure Advisory moved over to London from Sydney?
If so, how'd you do it? Don't have big4 experience but I've worked in some of the best boutiques in Syd.

Should be fine, any specific concerns? I would look at mid-tier firms in London, should be plenty. There are even more jobs there than Sydney so if anything I would expect it to be easier assuming you don’t require visa sponsorship or anything that would make it tricky for them

like

Grant Thornton, RSM, Baker Tilly, BDO. I believe those are all quite sizable mid tier firms in the UK. I don’t know if they do infrastructure specifically but I’m sure at least one of those does.

As you arnt B4, try a few specifics about the firms you were at (as they likely won’t know them). Such as average client size, team size, how many employers, maybe even firms total revenue. Just so they can get a sense of the work you would have done.

Why do we always tell people “Be the best version of yourself before starting a relationship?”
I feel this is wrong…first, if you’re someone who constantly wants to be better, this doesn’t work. Also, what happens when you’re going through things and you’re not the best version? What happens is…the going gets tough and then one person leaves the other.

I have a promising interview at a relatively large law firm in my area (+100 attorneys) next week. The position is for a transactional role in their real estate practice group, and they are seeking someone with at least 2 YOE. I have a bit over 7 YOE with a strong real estate/commercial lit. background. Over the past two years in my current position, I've been doing a lot more transactional work. The split is around 50% transactional and 50% lit.

Seeking advice: I’ve been working as an analyst at a PE company for 18months 4 days a week on a part time contract and I feel like they are under paying me. I’m earning 42.2K p.a They want me to go full time as I am graduating however I don’t know what the base salary for an analyst with 18 months experience would be. My friend who works as an analyst (with less experience than me) is earning 70K. Would love to get a sense of what I should be expecting / asking for when I go full time. Thanks!
