Anyone heard of BrightInsight company?
Great company (I work there and I'm biased)! DeciBio's mission is to accelerate the adoption of precision medicine technologies. It's a small company (~30 people as of Feb 2021) with a strong focus on strategy. DeciBio has a data arm that has some very interesting products, so there is an opportunity for analysts to explore this side of the business. What differentiates DeciBio from its competitors is: 1) it's a start-up, so very agile (and unstructured - it cuts both ways), giving analysts a LOT of responsibilities the first year (e.g., talk 30+ min in client presentations 6 months into the job, write slides, conduct interviews); 2) it has has deep expertise (and connections) in precision medicine, especially in genomics but beyond that; 3) the company is extremely flat, and analysts interact with partners on a daily basis (not an exaggeration). One of the most impressive things about DeciBio is that you can talk to anyone who left the firm, and they still have a great perception of the company - far from being the case at any other firms.
Super strong in the diagnostics space. Believe they have less presence in traditional biopharma consulting.
Correct. While exceptions exist, DeciBio works with Pharma, but more in the context of helping them understanding the diagnostics space.
