To password-protect an individual page on Squarespace, follow these steps:
Steps to Password Protect a Single Page:
1. Log in to Squarespace:
• Go to Squarespace and log in to your account.
2. Navigate to the Pages Section:
• From the Home Menu, click on Pages to see a list of your site’s pages.
3. Select the Page to Protect:
• Click on the page you want to protect in the navigation or the Not Linked section.
4. Access Page Settings:
• Hover over the page name and click the gear icon (⚙️) to open the page settings.
5. Set a Password:
• In the Page Settings, go to the Password section (usually in the Basic tab).
• Enter your desired password in the provided field.
6. Save Your Changes:
• Click Save to apply the password to that specific page.
Notes:
• Visitors will need to enter the password you set to access the page.
• This feature is only available for certain pages, such as regular pages, galleries, and blog pages, but not for specific blog posts or event entries.
• If you’re on a lower-tier plan that doesn’t include password protection, you might need to upgrade.
Also dont use their portfolio navigation, create independent pages. Their password protect automatically goes for all the pages if you use their portfolio system.
Totally possible. Use the chat help function on Squarespace and they will send a tutorial and walk you through it.
Did that. Only seeing site-wide and page passwords. No option to password protect subpages nested under a main page.
If you know how to do so, please DM me and share bc i cannot for the life of me figure it out!!!
It sounds like what you’re referring to is not a page. A page must have a unique slug to be password protected. You can’t protect a section of a page.
