I recently left a small agency where I wore many hats, mostly planning and buying across multiple channels for several smaller brands. Advise on handling rates negotiations with BIPOC and non-male creators? I always want to accept first bid and get uncomfortable when my bosses push to undercut rates (especially now when money is tight), because there is a whole history of BIPOC and non-male people getting paid less. I need some help. I have had a bad day personally. I’m trying to think of a first day virtual activity. I’m 100% online. I teach 10th and 11th Algebra 2 Honors. We are using Google Meets. I thought about doing a logic puzzle after the presentation. And I’ve also thought about starting notes.

What have you found to be good ways to help bridge gaps left from time out of class due to Covid? I teach 6th grade. We use iReady but feel like there are other sources I could use that would help fill in learning gaps.

We will be administering the Algebra 1 End of Course Assessment next week.. what are some ideas for recognizing those who perform well as well as those who've had significant increase from previous scores?

I teach 3rd grade Math. I am looking for ideas for math centers, that focus on fact fluency.

I finally was able to convince my principal that we need a consistent math intervention at the MS level (grades 5-8). (Right now, we are just "doing our own thing," which isn't helping students progress much.) Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be beneficial to have some sort of progress monitoring tool as part of the program, if possible. Our classes run roughly 55 minutes (which is too long for an intervention, in my humble opinion).

Does anyone else use Illustrative Math in 6th grade? I have a spread sheet of resources I can share if others can do the same!

What’s your opinion on math homework? I teach 4th grade and have always given it but I’d like to see what others do and weigh out if it’s really worth it. If I give it, I feel like I should spend class time going over it but on the other hand I stress myself out trying to keep the absent work organized and those that don’t even do the work.

Does anyone else have to wait until they have all assignments turned in for the day to start grading? I have Geom classes in the a.m. and p.m. and my OCD doesn’t let me grade as they are turned in.

What are you doing with your students this week? School ends with a half day on Thursday and I'm doing worksheets all week and we're watching Elf on Wednesday. Trying not to feel bad about doing a movie day, the kids are tired and so am I.
