Valencia is too far out for me
Where will you be commuting to for work?
My appeal of the area is mostly because it’s new build, and will give better living experience for the dollar spent. Worry is that it won’t be a good ROI in the next 5 years from an appreciation standpoint as much as a home in Porter Ranch might be (despite it being an older build)
I live in Santa Clarita. Moved here from Van Nuys 20 years ago. The schools are very highly rated. Some of the best in the state if you are on the west side of the 5. So if you have or will have kids it’s great for that. It’s one of the safest areas in the state. My office is downtown but I’ve always been hybrid and never had to go to the office more than 1-2 days/week. Are you looking at FivePoints by Six Flags or something else?
I can’t predict that. I looked at my house and it’s up about 50% in 6 years. I looked at some Porter ranch houses and they were up about 65% in that some time. I do think that once there’s some core scale in FivePoints and the amenities are operating it will increase the desirability of five points. I didn’t realize how expensive the Porter ranch homes are. There’s a bunch of $3M+ houses in there. That might pull up and increase the value of the $1.5M houses, Either option will be good.
Only thing I know of Valencia is Six Flags.
