Honestly, name recognition can matter in some industries, but a strong GPA and solid experience can make up for it. NYC’s job market is competitive, but plenty of people from non-Ivy schools land great roles. Networking and showing your skills will do more for you than just the name on your degree
Your GPA and work experience can carry a lot of weight, even in a competitive market like NYC. Sometimes, it’s just about getting that first foot in the door. But after that, your skills will speak for themselves.
