After about 18 months of hustling, I’ve been offered my first AD role. My background is in engineering so for what feels like forever I’ve been building (and rebuilding) my book with creative work and it’s finally paid off 🎉

I want to hit the ground running so I’m trying to learn as much as possible before I start.

I recently left my big law role to start my own firm, and I need health insurance since that was a benefit with my prior firm. Any tips on where to find good coverage? I’ve been working in employee benefits in a small brokerage firm on a book of business of over 400 clients, I’m the only account manager. We’ve had 100% employer retention since I’ve been here. I am a high performer, but not sure I’m valued much at all . I want to reach the top and become partner in my career ; this is why I went to work for a small firm. My boss favors others when I do the most work!!

Received a job offer today and unsure how to proceed. The role is lateral but with more opportunity to advance. The offer consists of a 17% base salary increase, a 25% annual bonus structure, and a signing bonus of 25% of my base. I feel that the offer is fair but the downside is fewer vacation days. I intend to negotiate the vacation time but as far as the compensation I am unsure if I should negotiate.. the offer is fair and I don't want to be greedy but I don't want to miss an opportunity
