McKinsey & Company Bain & Company I went from Analyst to Senior Consultant at Deloitte in 2 years – likely the fastest in Australia. I’m in their Tech Practice. Should I stay here or consider exits at MBB or their respective Digital arms? What realistically would my options be like? Would I be starting from scratch? And if so would it be worth it? Eh. Most in-demand offices also have the most spots available, so it’s all a wash 🤷🏻♀️ but NYC and SF are generally very popular for us and Boston a close second
London is a popular office but not a great one, from what I’ve heard (mainly due to comp to work ratio)
London and New York have the most applicants per position for MBB and T2s
You are not wrong BCG1. I have a problem clearly
For US, our numbers go NY/SF/Silicon Valley, followed by Chicago and Atlanta, and then DC and Boston
For competitiveness it depends on your background and where you are now in your career / academics. If you’re based in London with no US experience, you’re not likely to be interviewing for a US office.
Hmm I don’t agree M2. NJ is super competitive and surpasses NY in certain steams / years.
NJ still has significantly higher acceptance rates out of UGR as far as what I’ve seen data wise. Total people who pref NY or SF relative to acceptances is not close to NJ (maybe 2nd or 3rd pref)
