McKinsey - 18 months, rejected after Imbellus
BCG - 1 year, rejected after second round
Bain - 1 year, rejected after online test
Ms is currently a year in the US

How often are people successful upon trying again?
A year is fine but to truly stand out, I would say when you have some sort of marked growth you can speak to. I was in a similar boat, picked up a shit ton of knowledge on certain topics then re-interviewed and had a growth story to tell.
