Adding this to my list. THank you for sharing this

Oh my, I only read classics like Paulo Coehlo. Those kinds of books will more likely to help me with my everyday challenges than business novels. They are boring. Like my job, Lol.

I try to read this book every year (need to sharpen the saw). Easily the best business book out there.

Power vs Force by David Hawkins

I just finished reading Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I found it quite insightful. I'm currently on the first few pages of Zero to One by Peter Thiel.

People who work in banking, and especially in France, have you ever been badly treated by your colleagues with an attitude as if you’re not even worth a piece of sh** ?

I don’t know if it’s because people in the banks are like this or if it’s because french people are rude. But the way my colleagues behave (fortunately, just some of them, not all) would be considered extremely impolite and uneducated in Asia (where I’m from). Would love to hear some of your opinions about this!

Currently an RX senior associate at A&M. Ive dealt with a fair amount of distressed pe firms and I'm pretty interested in the space. I think the skillset is much broader and opens me up to learning a lot of new skills. One thing Im curious about is how to make the move over to a invest role.

Ive toyed with the idea of doing a 2-3 year stint in RX IB at Houlian or a similar MM or EB but just am not sure if that's even needed. Anyone have some insight or suggestions they could offer? Im all ears

Just started a new project with a bank client. Got my client laptop. Opened the web tool they use to change your password across all systems. The https site, wait for it, did not have a SSL cert installed. I get that it's an internal site that requires VPN connectivity, but no cert? Not even a self-signed cert? Really?

Would anyone be able to help illuminate the Oracle career path progression for project or program managers (not engineering).

Our system is really lacking and we do a lot of work outside of it to track data. Currently I’m using Excel to track data from multiple resources, however, it’s so manual and prone to error. Any suggestions to keep the data clean when I have to pull info from multiple places? I’m constantly auditing and we won’t even look at getting a new system until next year :(

Should you only embark on Partnership if you’re sure it’s what you want to do for the rest of your career?
