Can u help me with the in-hand amount please?

I got a call from HR and offer discussion was over couple of weeks back and still waiting for them to send me final mail to release offer. May I know if they take this much time to release offer, when I did a follow up call after 10 days they said they are waiting for some approval to release offer.
Any ideas i still have chances to get offer? BNY Mellon

Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

There really isn’t a safe bet right now. Massive layoffs and issues in both the private and public sectors. A lot of variables, of course, so just make the best decision for the specific opportunity.
I guess massive government changes are bad times to get into public.
A semi - political comment but not intended to be agitating.
It does kinda depend on what state you are in...
Particularly in North east, Illinois, or along west coast... Public sector is probably fairly safe...
I’m UK based so I wonder if it’s a bit different here?
I used to think that my government job was the safest thing I could get. Now I'm not so sure and I feel anxious all the time. I've been wondering the same thing about the public sector.
I guess you’re subject to what the government is doing at that time! But the same could be said with private and companies.
