Are there any options for fund formation lawyers in markets outside NY? Seems like CM, M&A or financial services lawyers have ways to pivot to smaller markets but funds hardly exists outside of the top firms.

Enrolled in Stern for a few weeks.
The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

Have you ever tried to bring about a change/stood up for something at home/office etc. Did it succeed/fail? How was the experience?

Last round for a VP level front office transformation role @Citi . TC is looking like 160k base + 20% bonus (5 YOE ). Will be making this in a couple months when promoted to NYC strategy and consulting M1 @ Accenture. Is it worth the move ? Are there other perks I am not considering ?

I am currently in the OPT grace period (about 15 days left) and was notified that I was selected in the second h1b lottery. I have no idea how this works. I got offer from Deloitte for around 14.5 (fixed + variable) for 4 years of experience in SAP.

But now i have better offer for around 17 LPA.

How many billable hours per week is considered at capacity? I’m getting pushback on boundaries I’m setting about additional matters and marketing work from my firm when I’ve been billing 60-75 hours per week for the last 6 weeks, and I’m still behind on my work. I feel like it’s reasonable to not kill myself further to fit in more/turn things around faster at this point, but am I being unreasonable? I expect my workload to remain at this level through the end of the year at least.

Does anyone practice White Collar criminal defense in NYC or know a decent amount about it? Is it fun or fulfilling? Is it a good way to break into government work in the future?
