Yes. It just keeps getting exponentially worse.
Rising Star
It's getting worse, especially with social media. Latching onto trends before they die, short form content, and filler content is an amalgamation for quick turnaround projects.
I see the brand team and they constantly have time. But for the social team, it's "We need it next week and have no money. But make it good."
Timelines do not exist anymore. If it’s not a sr client asking why it takes so long, his kid nephew posts to social all the time, it’s the concept is talked to death for months and then the client expects the work to be done overnight.
… and then he/she will look at it mid-week next week when they’re back from vacation.

So this will always be my hill to die on: this is a failure of account management.
That’s absolutely awful. This is where there needs to be a seasoned employee on the client-facing side, as opposed to a green yes-man afraid to negotiate and assert boundaries. As my first boss at Publicis 20 years ago would say, sloppy timelines just mean bad business.
Yep - but then the client goes over their head. And the account person is chopped at the knees.
The timelines have been INSANE recently

It was bad when I left FT 2 years ago. Cant imagine it getting worse without it breaking. Brutal.
Yup this sounds like the regular with my account. Often 1 day turnaround time. Insane.
