Articles about how a large agency is struggling fascinate me as they always lay off hundreds of people yet refuse to make meaningful changes at the top. Instead of mass layoffs maybe replace department heads and leadership teams? And maybe stop hiring the same five people? 🙄 I get that the C-suite won’t fire themselves but the board should know this.

With so much uncertainty in the economy and waves of layoffs that have hit tech especially hard... do we think there's really such a thing as a recession-proof job anymore if you're not an "essential worker"?

Do you take the current economy into consideration when receiving job offers? For example you receive a good offer from a company like Meta/TikTok but are hesitant because they could be laying off soon or rescind an offer versus a lower offer at a more traditional and stable company that tends to be less reactionary with regards to layoffs? Not my current scenario but just curious. I would like to make a move from current employer but this economy has me spooked.
