I like Pete. He’s an amazing communicator but he’s also kind of dull. Good for the cabinet but maybe not the main ticket.
Can I get a yard sign that says Make Politics Dull Again? Roads, bridges, education and healthcare isn’t as exciting as porn stars and scandals. I’ll be thrilled to see a dull guy discuss dull stuff that matters to my life.
I liked and financially supported Pete when he ran, because of his smarts and practical approach - not because he was gay. I like that he’s gay personality but that’s not how I make decisions.

Unfortunately that’s reality, not how we wish Washington, or the country, behaves. Too many serve in Washington to gain power bestowed by wealthy donors. The political machine cranks out a modicum of good works, unfortunately. Candidly, I’m in favor of term limits for that very reason.

Now I feel like he’s one of those guys that’s all talk no action (which I know is most politicians) but it seems worse with him ( 🤷♀️ maybe I’m alone on that feeling )

It’s too risky. The GOP has an enough DEI red meat with Harris. Also out are two women and two black combinations. The Secretary of State role would be a good stretch assignment for him. He’d get more exposure, build international relationships, and strengthen his relationships in Washington leading higher stakes matters. While he’s a veteran and a smart guy, he lacks political depth. Mayor of South Bend, Indiana isn’t strong enough. Mayor of NY would be an improvement. KH needs a partner with strong Washington connections and relationship building capabilities. That was Biden’s secret sauce with Obama, who lacked deep political experience and strong DC relationships.

I think Pete is one of the smartest people out there. I think he would do a fantastic job. I would absolutely love if he was the VP pick but sadly because he isn’t straight will inhibit him the country isn’t ready for a woman president and that at the same time.

In reality, Harris shouldn't even be on the ticket. She was one of the least popular candidates of them all. If it were about being just and fair, then they would have picked Sanders or Kennedy. But I'm starting to believe that democrat politicians will throw everyone under the bus sooner or later. It feels like the party has changed a lot. They truly don't want to fix any of the social problems but in fact let them get worse as to sow hate, division, and ignorance in order to maintain power. One thing is for sure, the VP pick won't be a woman or someone of ethnic origins, and probably not even of merit.

Democrats won't do anything to defend LGBTQIA+ Rights anyways. They just fight to keep status quo, Claudia and Karina for PSL are at least fighting for proper changes to the systemic issues we face in this country.
Exactly !! Just like the democrat party has been doing to the poor black communities. NOTHING but broken promises and lies. Keep them just barely hanging on with welfare and broken promises of some kind of retribution payout at the same time pushing hate, division, and ignorance. They can't truly help them because the black voter wouldn't need them anymore and would start to vote independent or republican.

I think this is not the election to be focusing on having a full minority delegation when it comes to candidate. We need somebody who actually fits the normal mold for at least one of the two spots whether it be the actual presidency or the vice presidency. So I think Kelly will be a better choice but the other people do make a point. It really doesn't matter most of the time but this time it definitely does
Shouldn't elected officials represent the people they are representing? Race should not be an issue. Ideology should rule.
