At the beginning of the school year, we ALWAYS find at least one scholar that “doesn’t have an interest in this field”, how do you work with that student now that they’re in your class?

It depends on their response to being misplaced. If they continue to participate I check back in with them at the end of the year to see if their interest has changed and they would like to stay. If they become problematic and don't participate I help to guide them toward another content area or have a conversation with their guidance counselor to help them do so.

I’m working for an agency where Art Directors are essentially managers of designers. Art Directors are promoted from Senior Designer, we have no Junior Art Directors.

This hasn’t been my experience, I’m used to Art Directors and Designers having separate career paths. However, I’m trying to keep an open mind. Is this org structure familiar to to anyone else? If so, has it been effective? Thanks in advance!
