I am making 70k in NYC as a mid-level copywriter with ~2 years of experience. Is this low? Not sure if it’s related but I’m the lead Copywriter on a major brand.

Would like to organize events/speaker panels throughout the year, to highlight and empower the latinx group at my agency, are there any ideas or groups I should reach out to to help kick this off?

I work with HR/Recruitment at an aquistion company. Most of our subsidiaries are small accounting firms, and we struggle with turnover/recruitment of certified public accountants. Mergers, tech and change affect the way we work and we’re overloaded with inexperienced graduates. As a result, the stereotypical accountant feels threatened, overworked and underpaid. Could really need some advice on how to deal with this issue.

What's your current hyper-fixation? It can be work related or not. Mine right now is crossword puzzle books, haven't bought one since I was a kid but I randomly got really into them this week. At work I'm reorganizing but it's less fun.

Need some investment guidance. I've about 130k cash in my savings account, of which I want to invest about $75k. Was planning to buy a home earlier but delaying that decision by another year (hoping housing mkt normalizes by then). What are some investment options for me? (Leaning towards ETFs but want to hear more options)

Hi! I just hit my two year mark at my firm and I was wondering about switching from public to private firms for the work life balance and pay. I started off as an AP Specialist at an aerospace tooling company and never left later than 5 PM. Now I’m barely making rent but have the awesome mentorship and resources to produce FS and potentially grow but long hours are affecting my well being and finances. Should I grind it out at the firm or try for staff accountant?

What’s up with recruiters at strategy / branding firms pegging someone with ad agencies on their resume as too advertising focused? This has got to stop. It’s a level of snobbery that helps no one.

Hi fishes,
In hr round they asked me,, how can I trust that you will join us as you already have an offer?
I told them,, anyway I am switching so I am trying to get as high package as possible.
After a week the hr called offering me 30% more than what I asked but the he said he will only send the offer letter one day before joining.
The offer is amazing but can I trust him or should I try for different company?

Our department is having a difficult time building our programs. Admin takes us for granted and doesn’t include us in any of the planning. I have a few ideas that I hope will help, but could use some advice on more ways to recruit students to our courses.
