How is it outlier then
Let me rephrase, I know average comp is over 1 mil but I assumed that was due to outliers. What about median figures for a 5-10 yr partner in the group?
The number of outliers is relatively small. A partner or principal who is at a Big4 firm and has 5+ years of tenure as a partner/principal is generally going to make $1M+. I don’t understand why this seems to be so hard for people to understand. We work incredibly hard, and yes, it’s quite stressful, but our compensation is pretty incredible, too.
Yes. There are no outliers, it’s pretty much a bell curve. Simple math is even if the ceo makes 10x the average (they don’t) thee is no way to shift the average of 2,000 partners
In fact, your largest outlier happens to be new partners (<5 years in the role) that make up a relatively large portion of the partner population
