If you see an open job posting at a company you want to work for, what steps do you take to apply? I’ve been told that cold applying and making no contacts is usually not going to lead to anything, and that’s been true in my experience. But should I reach out to someone first? Should i apply and then email someone? In HR? Or someone who’d be directly supervising me? Or someone at my level? And what should i say? Thanks!

I have an interview coming up with Church & Dwight. When the recruiter emailed me with 3 interview times I thought he was asking me what time works best. Would you lie to get an offer from dream company? Let’s say you did pretty good at interview, and the company (Google) is willing to give you an offer, but team lead at the end of interview asks you about GPA or experience on your resume, etc. Like in reality you got GPA 2.0, but u told them your GPA is 3.5 Would you take a risk and lie?

I hate Kirkland for what they did to me. Got laid off due to intra-firm-politics at a point in my career where I don’t have enough experience to lateral, when the market is so bad for corp/M&A that even with experience getting hired isn’t likely with a Kirkland stain on the resume, during the holidays when getting interviews or even screeners is just as unlikely, and all of this without any warning at all. Recruiters can’t or aren’t helping. I don’t know what to do, but this is a nightmare

I submitted my documents and I am trying to contact the HR who scheduled my interview, but she is not picking up my call. My question is how soon can I expect the offer letter to be released?
