My SO got a great job offer in Bangkok and we need to decide soon. I’ve always been very independent and never followed a partner to another city or country. Will it be bad for my career to join him even while there is a little change I can find a job in Bangkok? Not sure what to do right now. Due to covid I recently got laid off and am already not in my home country but have lived here over 7 years. Any advice? Me following him or we both try to find another job in the country we are in now.

My husband and I have a huge combined family. They are also...well...loud. By loud I mean, laughing, debating, talking, all in good cheer. But sometimes arguments can erupt, and there's really no shortage of entertainment and sometimes drama. We're having a smaller gathering this year and wondering what's the best way to navigate all things COVID and health - we love to be close, hug, etc but I know everyone has different comfort levels and I want to be gracious and appease. What's your expert opinion? #QA

I haven't made a new close friend in years and had few to begin with. Pre-COVID, most friendships were context-based (grad school, clubs, professional associations). In the COVID era, many casual relationships have faded, even as I put in effort (that typically isn't reciprocated). I still put myself out there and go to a few events every week or so, but it seems like many are languishing too (thanks, Adam Grant) and don't have the energy for new relationships. Any advice or success stories? 😬

Do you think restaurants/eateries will close in the fall/winter if there’s a resurgence of high COVID cases again? Don’t care to dine in, but would order take out or delivery. I’m moving to an area with great restaurants nearby and I’d like to continue supporting and getting food from those places at least once a week while I can afford to.

Hello, I am 36 and have over 250k in savings. I started saving late (at 32) as I didn’t make much and lived in NYC. I used to be on a visa and had little to say on my salary negotiations. Upon getting my green card, my salary doubled when I changed jobs and I started saving extensively. Today I make around 180k a year and am able to save $4.5k a month and 7% towards 401k. I have no kids and I am looking to maximize savings. Any advice? Thanks!
