Bain salary negotiation: just received an offer from Bain as an experienced Consultant (18 months post-MBA). Can I negotiate base salary? Technically I’m an industry/experience hire but the offer seemed more firm, similar to a standard MBA salary offer. Any thoughts on whether this is a good/bad idea? For reference, I’d be taking a 5% cut in base to join.

I joined EY GDS 10 months back at 40% hike (leaving PwC) and now Deloitte (DIJV) is offering me 2 level up designation at Manager level with another 40% hike.
