I know the exact feeling. Try Girlsday on Facebook, We are Rosie for freelance, BinderGirls and FreelancingFemales in Facebook. Good luck!
Thank you, I actually didn’t know any of these groups. I really appreciate it!
This majorly sucks. It can feel defeating but try as hard as you can to remain optimistic. My recommendation:
1. Reach out to every single person you know who is in the industry or a related field, and go out to coffee. 1:1 personal networking is so important. Don’t be shy, think about who you’ve build good relationships over the years... this is the time to cash that in, so to speak. And hopefully those people will put you in touch with other people.
2. Get your story straight so that you have a compelling narrative, but make sure that narrative is flexible and can bend to different types of opportunities.
3. Find some really good recruiters and headhunters— ask your network if they have any who they trust and who do good work.
GOOD LUCK! I am sure you are extremely good at what you do and would be an asset to any company that hires you. They just can’t see it yet
Thank you for taking the time to respond, it’s giving me motivation when I needed it. I’m going to book some coffees today. Go go go!
Check out the Mom Project for temp to perm positions!
Thank you 💙
Hey there, I saw this post was over a month old–I know job searching can be long, so if you’re still looking try the LinkedIn recruiter setting under the jobs tab. I found my last two jobs using it.
Oh hell yeah! Congrats!! 🍾🎊🎉
What city do you want to be in?
