Your exit oops are limited to fund admins or in house (HF/PE) tax accountant. In house tax accountants is a super desirable job so they’re rare to begin with and secondly in house tax accountant jobs usually don’t start until you have min. 5 years experience.

helpful

Not worth jumping the ship to in-house this early. Feel free to reach out to recruiters, they’ll likely point you to 5 figure salaries with limited raises or toxic teams.

I’ve asked this before and no one has ever commented haha. It’s like they don’t want us to know 🤣

Because there’s none.

I have nearly 3 years FS experience but staying for another 2 years is not an option for me at this point. Best to just pivot to audit or maybe finance if I can get away with it?

Just wondering about how is the WLB in HSBC account of Synechron, Pune? I am reading so much of pros and cons on Glassdoor and here. Some are saying the cons like Hire and fire are a FAKE news.

I have the highest offer in hand from Synechron with HSBC client. Please help me make up my mind whether I should join them or not..?

I have another offer with LTI as well but just a marginal difference in pay, and the Location is Mumbai. Should I choose LTI instead?

Please Help!!

I just spoke with a software architect that went back to school to learn software engineering after law school because it was more lucrative and had less hours. He’s worked his way up and has the skills and authority to work 6:30am-10am and gets to work remotely. We discussed that results/outputs is better than billable time like in law and public accounting. Yet, his parents and others would view him as “lazy” but he does his job and makes a fantastic living. Time>Money and Results>Hours

Given all the recent buzz about expected large raises around the big 4, I’d like to level set on the average salary for a 4th/5th year female senior manager in federal tax ( credits & methods group) in the Midwest - Chicago/Minneapolis/Detroit market. Anyone willing to share a range if they work in a similar area of tax / similar level? I recognize all groups vary greatly in salary expectations, so looking for input specific to my area. Current expectations set at 140-160k. Reasonable?
