That sounds amazing, but I could be wrong 🤔
Vesting immediately is great
Well, it’s essentially a 6% match, just like most other companies. It’s ok, I’ve seen better.
Sorry, completely overlooked the immediate vesting. Yes, that makes it better than most in terms of vesting period.
I'd say better than most. As EY mentioned, 6% might be close to average, but I don't know what the average is really (I've seen more and less). The immediate vesting is amazing though, as most companies require at least 2 years to be fully vested
It’s good and standard in “industry,” essentially dollar for dollar up to $6k. Big 4 25% match is garbage, even including non-partner pension. That said, my exit matches up to $15k, no vesting period ;-)
Already exited. DM me, show your profile, and I’ll tell you.
Came from industry. This is pretty pretty good. I’ve worked where it was 1 to 1 matching up to 3% and another where it was 5 year vesting.
PA is pretty bad when it comes to 401K match and vesting. At K it was 50 percent of 6 percent ( means 3 percent) and you fully vest in 5 years. Some of my clients have really good 401K plans but agree with other that immediately vesting is not standard. Good luck Op
That’s a generous “safe harbor” plan. When are you eligible to contribute?
My firm offers 6% match, 100% vesting, but the wait period to enroll is 6 months.
Eligible to contribute immediately for us
