Been looking at moving industries a while now - into data analytics/research officer - I love data & analysing it. But for each application, I either hear nothing or get rejected.

Nearly 3/4 way through a computer Science & Data Analytics postgrad.
Experienced in science communication.
I’ve a PhD & built predictive models etc. as part of it.
Also have a strong background in field research & project management.

I’m stuck in an entry level position, no pay rise/review in 4 yrs.

Any advice?

What is a good read/place to start with FIRE? I’m 28 and have 1k in my bank account and 110k in student debt. Making 65k but have had to spend most of my savings on medical issues recently :( I think that deluge of shit is going to end soon and I can go back to saving, but I don’t know what my next move should be. Does anyone here suffer from bipolar disorder? How do you manage it and working in law? I see a therapist, and a psychiatrist, and am on medication, but I still have days where I wake up and I’m so depressed I can’t move. I’m working on remedying this with my doctors, but how does one approach mental health issues with their employer? I never felt the need to until I realized how much being bipolar can affect my ability to work.

I had quite the day the other day. Coustmer comes in and then ends up leaving with a grossed out look on his face just for him to put in a complaint about my appearance...he down right called me some nasty things for no reason. Still feeling gross about it. He was upset for no reason as far as I'm concerned.
