Save as much as possible, grow that nest egg for the next 3-4 years and then get a cushy job in house.
Start investing in real estate.

Shoot for early retirement! I have a friend, not BigLaw, mostly midlaw and in-house—who retired at 41 because she didn’t have kid and was an aggressive saver.
Work for 17 years and save 100k a year plus... that's pretty easy for this scenario
If you’re looking for someone to share your wealth with, my routing number is……. 🤣🤣🤣
I've got kids, but I agree with what I think you're getting at. The point is the financials. Stick with it if you need it for financial reasons, or if you like it (seems like you don't, at least where you're at it). Otherwise, do something you like more.
I guess that's true for any job-- if it isn't for money or love, then you're in the wrong place.
I agree with Consultant 1’s statement. It’s actually true.
Take a trip!
Even if it’s only a (an extended) weekend getaway with friends or family. I’m also thinking about day spa treatments to help you unwind after long week.
I'd personally transition to lower AM100 that has a 1900 or less billable requirement. Then eventually move into a counsel role with a reduced schedule and start getting back to pre-practicing hobbies and happiness.
Do you know how awesome it is to make this kind of money and not have to spend on some dang kids? To eat at Michelin restaurants with my non-existent kid’s tuition money? Come sit on my boat and let me explain it to you.
When and where? I want a boat named hedonist parked near our firm in dc.
Hedonism.
As a junior with a spending problem, I have trouble comprehending not having anything to splurge on
Any chance you’re looking for a wife? 🤪
Big law girlie here looking to go in house.

Inertia. Risk aversion. Trying to get out but realizing golden handcuffs are real. And that this profession truly does treat you more like a professional (for lack of a less repetitive word), vs much of the corporate world that has much stricter restraints on things like PTO, WFH, face time, etc.
The only way to get out and maintain the same salary/standard of living is something entrepreneurial.
But circling back, you need to take vacation and find some hobbies. Establish the boundaries to do so. Your free time is no less important than people with spousal or child commitments.
I’m in the same boat. I think I would like to have a wife and kids one day. I’m active on the dating apps for this purpose and make it a priority (eg don’t cancel on dates for work). If that doesn’t work out, then I will retire early and do a chill active job to stay busy (eg yoga instructor).
At this point, my rationale is that I need to have a job, and this one pays the most. I could take a job that has 20% fewer hours for 50% less pay but the trade off doesn’t seem worth it.
I eventually get reconnected with a girl I liked when I was in high school. I always like her. I just didn’t have the courage to tell her back then.
Good luck!
What made me decide to stick it out? Well, someone has to make the money to pay for all these cats
Remind me why cats are expensive? I know dogs require dog school and expensive vet visits. I thought cats own their hoomans. They mind their own business and occasionally share their rats with hoomans. My dog never ever catches the squirrel he has been chasing all his life …
Can you take a longer vacation (without working) to travel and reset? You are in a good position to make changes in your life and pivot to something that gives you more fulfillment in life.
FIRE.
I think you need to take a trip somewhere. Try to get some break and ask what you really want? Be authentic, no need to think about others. Do what you truly desire!
What were some of your pre law school hobbies?
