Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

Don't bother. Place looks super toxic. Not heard good things from contacts. Just read the glassdoor reviews!
Ex-Newton here, I would say stay away personally unless you are certain that you are attracted to the strong culture. Pay has also become less attractive and is less than they tout as 1) average profit share (bonus) has historically been 50% of the quoted over the last 3 years 2) 5k car benefit is often quoted as a salaried figure but cash alternative is less than this, 2.5k if I recall correctly
Consultant: 42k base ~ 4k bonus
Senior Consultant: 54k base ~ 6k bonus
Lead Consultant: 74k base ~ 9k bonus
Principal: 90k ~ unsure on bonus probably around 15k
Well it’s 5k car but you get taxed. And iirc was 5.5 at senior - lead and goes up at principal maybe. It’s only 40% ofc then at senior and above so you do lose the rest of it, but you are still have to get a car with it which completely covered my costs and I got an asset at the end of it… now I have a 10k car in my name rather than a load of tax. So I really wouldn’t knock the car benefit because the purpose is literally to fund a car and you are not allowed to do anything else with it.
Only heard bad things about Newton - proceed with caution
