I have been laid off going on 3 months now and I’ve never felt so discouraged in my life. This job hunt for me has been frustrating and draining. It really has taken a toll on my mental health and maybe even confidence. I feel like I’m losing momentum. Any advice on staying positive throughout this journey? It’s so hard to stay upbeat and motivated at times.

I made a couple errors at a new job. An important document to be distributed had wrong information on it, which was proofread by 2 other people. Then a couple of typos in emails, the person micromanaging me told me to send out but I didn’t fix the errors. Failed to meet a deadline but completed 95%. I was written up over all this last week, fired this week. There’s a lot more to this but I think it’s because the DM doesn’t like me.

@PWC is worst company for freshers. They are force innocents to resign by themselves and threating then to not to mail anyone and not share this context to anyone worst company, if layoff means ok removing and threatening to not to disclose to anyone means the have lost every single moral. Don't fall trap in the brand name @PWC.

I just got laid off from my job as a gov contractor because the project I was working on ended. I’m currently a grad student part time and was hoping to work that job until finishing grad school before applying to consulting roles. Should I go ahead and try applying for those roles now since I don’t have a job? Or should I wait since I’m still in school until next May?

How bad is it for a junior to push back against a completely psychotic mid level? I don’t know how this mid level hasn’t been fired because they are even rude and bossy to partners and are a nightmare for juniors. I’ve decided enough is enough and am now pushing back against their arbitrary deadlines and other insane and unnecessary asks. I rarely work with this person and have good reviews. Am I asking for trouble?

How do you handle people’s kids showing up on video meetings? Screaming, kicking, hamming it up, (wasting time.) Everyone else is coo-ing…I’m not a kids person. Heard a technique which is to drop off the call bc you “assume the call is over” (which seems like a great way to get fired especially if it’s a way higher up’s kids - plus it feels rather passive aggressive.) I'm a first time home buyer and got pre qualified back in Jan. Hard pull on credit docked me a few points. I wasn't able to close and now considering another hard pull for a different mortgage company offering better rates.
