Is Nagarro good to join? I have a fully remote opportunity which I'm pretty sure I can crack. Is the pay and benefits good at Nagarro? Do they provide laptop and test devices or will I have to work on my laptop? Do they give medical insurance etc? What if the project gets over. Do they have enough projects or will I be asked to move to a different technology? Will I be fired if on bench? Nagarro

I may be in the minority but I think it’s completely reasonable to push back, golden child or not. They’re an associate, not God. I think we need to remember that at the end of the day we’re all colleagues. Even if there’s a hierarchy in terms of delegation of power and authority, no one person is better than anyone else or has the right to treat anyone else like garbage.

My golden child comment is about correctly anticipating any ramifications and being aware of those in advance. It doesn’t mean that I think they should be able to treat people badly or that one shouldn’t push back. But if the question is “how bad is it,” that’s one of the things that’ll have an impact.

I pushed back on a mid-level once back when I was a junior. I was 100% right and he knew it. From that point on, he stopped overreacting to things (at least with me) and we had a good work relationship. The way you go about it is very important though.

Yeah some of these people are emotionally disregulated and need people to tell them to chill

Depends whether they are actually more of a golden child than you may realize and how correct you are about the asks and deadlines being insane and unnecessary.
Is this a free market system? Can you just stop accepting work from them? Only works if you’re otherwise staffed up but they’ll eventually get the hint
Definitely push back. I had this issue with a senior associate who was bonkers. Luckily, I had another senior person on the team who I hid behind. If you’re pretty close with the partner overseeing the matter, you could also ease into letting her/him know what’s going on.
I say grind through this deal/matter but then politely decline subsequent work with this mid.
