I am an associate at an AM200 firm and was (IMO) very clear prior to accepting this role that I value work-life balance and wanted to try to keep work at night on the weekends to a minimal, but since February, it seems like it’s always something that requires my time as needed disregarding “business hours” or my personal schedule. It depends! If you're a recent grad or junior in your career, stick to one. Once you're a few years or jobs out, 1.5-2 pages is fine. Even if you're very senior, try to stick to two. Many hiring managers will not read beyond that, and your resume should be a highlight reel anyway. Note: these general rules apply to US-based professional positions. Other countries and industries (like acadamia) may follow different norms.
